The PSBO has undergone tremendous transformation over the last three years both in terms of performance and risk management. Faced with logistical and engineering under-investment, exacerbated by the increasing operational demands, leading to reliability and availability problems, a compelling case for change in the sustainment and support of the Armidale Class Patrol Boats became evident. Following the collapse of relations between all contracting parties, the Patrol Boat Enterprise was formed. More than just a new ISS contract, it required a reset of the whole ecosystem of relationships within the extended Department of Defence and with Industry. Leveraging best practice from the IACCM and Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, this session will give practical insights into the key success factors that contributed to this exemplary business transformation.
