The Contract Management Standard®

World Commerce & Contracting in partnership with the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and the Commerce & Contract Management Institute (CCM Institute), is working on the next iteration of The Contract Management Standard® (CMS™)

The CMS™ provides practical guidance on the contract management process no matter what your industry, geography, or if you are operating on buy side or sell side.

Updating the CMS™ as an official American National Standard (ANS) through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), is a critical step in maintaining a framework that promotes continuous improvement and excellence within the field. It will lead the way towards an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard, adopted by corporations and governments worldwide.

The CMS™ provides practical guidance on the contract management process no matter what your industry, geography, or if you are operating on buy side or sell side.

It’s designed to address a broad range of scenarios and clarify the core processes and competencies that lead to success.

If you're passionate about shaping the future of contract management, your voice matters.

The CMS reflects the combined expertise of government and commercial buyers, sellers, academics, regulators, and consultants.

Your input will help reinforce the foundation of the contract management profession by refining job tasks and identifying essential competencies.

The review process also ensures that professional development programs remain targeted and relevant to evolving needs.
