Who would benefit from this program?

Individuals who are responsible for managing contracts throughout any phase of the contract lifecycle – pre- and post-contract management. World Commerce & Contracting Commercial and Contract Management (CCM) certification is not a pre-requisite for this program; however, the programs do complement each other, and certification is recommended.

Managing Contracts Virtually is an online and self-paced program comprising of a combination of short videos, podcasts, and discussion boards. Topics are supplemented with curated resources.  

The program is intended to take about 3-4 hours to complete. We recommend completing the program in sequence, but you can access the courses on-demand as needed. You will have up to 6 months to complete the Program. 

CPD: Participants earn a Certificate of Completion and 4 points toward World Commerce & Contracting Continuing Professional Development. 

Course I. Virtual work environments in a crisis: From surviving to thriving (40 minutes)

  • Part 1 lays out the strategic challenges and goals of making virtual environments and collaboration work. 
  • Part 2 covers survival basics: getting your space set up, deploying the right tools, and learning digital etiquette. 
  • Part 3 teaches you how to drive communication’s best practices across your workflow and relationships. 
  • Part 4 shows you how to thrive by boosting creativity and morale.

Course II. Effective virtual negotiations (1 hour)

  • Gain tangible strategies, tools, and tactics to influence negotiations and maintain Process Control in a virtual environment.

  • Understand how to maintain Process Control in a virtual environment by unearthing common ground remotely and virtual options for controlling psychological atmospherics, tactics, and pacing.

  • The course also covers effective email drafting in negotiation and technology alternatives for conducting a negotiation online. 

Course III. Managing risk and uncertainty in a virtual environment (1 hour)
