As Global CEO of one of the world’s fastest growing non-profits, Sally’s mission is to inspire and support the World Commerce & Contracting (WorldCC) team and global community to collectively drive recognition and excellence in Commercial and Contract Management.

She is an experienced and accomplished commercial and contracts management professional, holding senior commercial positions at a range of corporate and multi-national organizations. Her focus is on the creation of positive and successful business relationships, constantly striving to ensure that businesses realize their true potential and value.

In 2019 Sally was invited to become Chair of the Board for the Open Contracting Partnership (OCP) and in 2021 she was appointed Professor in Practice in Strategy and Innovation at the University of Durham Business School.

Bernadette Bulacan is a frequent speaker regarding the digital transformation of global enterprises. As Vice President and Lead Global Evangelist for Icertis, the recognized leader in enterprise contract lifecycle management, she is charged with sharing contract management best practices with legal and contracting teams and evangelizing the use of innovative technologies like AI/ML and blockchain. Prior to Icertis, Bernadette was a co-founder and Assistant General Counsel of Serengeti Law, which created e-billing and matter management platform, Serengeti Tracker (acquired by Thomson Reuters.) She held leadership roles at Thomson Reuters and QuantAI, an intellectual property AI analytics start-up. Bernadette was recently named 2020 Women of LegalTech by the American Bar Association. Bernadette advised start-up technology companies at Graham & Dunn, a Seattle firm and Venture Law Group, a Silicon Valley firm. Bernadette received her undergraduate degree from Yale University and her law degree and LL.M from the University of Washington.

Sheila’s professional journey has been hallmarked by a unique mix of experience in Leadership, Finance, Manufacturing Operations, and Legal Operations. She started her career in Accounting at a private firm, but her drive for being a part of the business led to her a small multinational company where she helped bring German and Swiss businesses to the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. From there, her interest in working with varied cultures, interests, and especially challenges, carried her to join Delta Air Lines and become responsible for management of their global credit card sales. This brought Sheila the opportunity to lead large teams and liaise with colleagues around the world while building strategic sourcing, contracting, and technical skills. Later, Sheila took an opportunity to join Georgia-Pacific, where she strengthened her Finance & Audit skills as well as a new skill – manufacturing operations - which quickly became one of her favorite areas of experience as it gave the opportunity to learn about the business at its heart. This led to her being appointed as CFO of an acquired $2B business and Sheila’s realization of how much she missed being fully invested in the full range of operations of a business and its success. When NCR called and stated that they had a very unique leadership position that required a broad range of skills, she was hooked. This began Sheila’s Legal Operations career, with the opportunity to work across an entire function as a “business” and help elevate and optimize that function to be its absolute best, while pulling on just about every facet of her experience gained over the years. Legal Ops brought Ferring Pharmaceuticals to Sheila, as they convinced her to move her family from the US to Switzerland, where she was able to build a new Legal Ops team, who under her leadership, fortifies the CLO’s Legal Services Vision, while building a love for data, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Janet founded Cognia to integrate how legal services are provided by bringing creativity, trust and sustainable outcomes. Over nearly ten years she has built a diverse talented team who deliver clients integrated, digitised managed legal services.

She leads the organisation in listening to clients, adapting models to meet their needs and collaborating with partners to provide high quality solutions to banks, global corporations and law firms. Building on her varied, international experience developed at EY, Clifford Chance and Integreon, Janet is a hands-on operator who brings her informed business acumen to work with clients in designing solutions to their challenges. This is made possible by Janet’s commitment since Cognia’s launch to building diverse teams that thrive and give clients access to the best talent.

Elizabeth calls herself a rehabilitated lawyer. She has been a litigator, a corporate lawyer, and a privacy and data protection specialist. Now, she is a legal designer, a professional speaker, and a plain language fanatic.

She uses legal design and plain language to create legal documents people want to read. She has done this with terms and conditions, commercial contracts, insurance policies, and terms on application forms. If it is legal, she designs it.

She is passionate about using humour in contract design to make contracts more enjoyable. One of her proudest career achievements is having a levity contract pattern in the WorldCC Foundation Contract Design Pattern Library.
