Else Bright has 29 years of experience as Commercial and Contracts Management practitioner specialising in Defence and IT industries in acquisition, services and as-a-service contracting, most recently working for BAE Systems’ Aircraft Sustainment and Training line of business in Williamtown, NSW focusing on the Joint Strike Fighter Program. Else has been a member of WorldCC for many years, and a WorldCC Council Member in Australia representing Aerospace and Defence. Else commenced her role as Senior Director Member Engagement ANZ in April 2022.

I enlisted to the RAAF in 1978, on completion of my initial and trade training, I was posed to No 92 wing and was employed as an Airframe fitter in support of the P3 Orion. During my posting, I received cross-training on the engines and electrical systems of P3 and post-graduate training in electronics.

In 1990, I joined a general aviation company at Adelaide Airport and gained my Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) accreditation for both airframes and engines.

I took up a position at Cobham Aviation Services (formerly National Jet Systems) in 1997 - 2021. I progressed quickly into strategic, corporate-level roles, holding various positions, including LAME, Senior Base Engineer Project Manager, Head of Engineering, Business Development Manager for Defence and Security, and Senior Director of Strategic Campaigns for Cobham Aviation Service – Australia. While with Cobham, I managed several major programs across various countries.

I commenced with the Defence Teaming Centre (DTC) in 2021 as the Director, Member Services. I was elected to the Board of Directors of the DTC in 2014 while an employee of Cobham. At the commencement of my employment to the DTC, I moved to an appointed board position and hold the role of Company Secretary.

Professor Neil Curtis is a Senior Cybersecurity & Business Development Executive with DXC Technology’s Cybersecurity business. He is the Head of the DXC Military Veterans Program and the Business Executive Sponsor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the ANZ and Fiji region.
Neil is a Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Southern Queensland and is currently ranked 2nd globally as a cybersecurity thought leader, and academic and association leader with IFSEC international.

Neil is an international Military Influencer who talks about Military and Police Veteran issues, and drives thought leadership, engagement, and solutions for Veterans in transition to cybersecurity and information technology careers.

Neil is both an Australian Army and Victoria Police Veteran and has continued service in federal law enforcement and as the CIO of the Queensland Crime and Corruption Commission.

Neil has a deep passion for military and police veterans and their spouses and offers transition pathways, education, certification, employment and internship pathways across this entire cohort in the cybersecurity and Information Technology industry.
