John Veilleux leads Verizon Business Legal’s technology-optimization team – using Agile and Design Thinking methods to tailor processes and systems to the real work of contract drafters closing deals. Because of the growing importance of AI to that work, John has been focusing a lot lately on identifying the best AI implementations for the Legal department’s highest-value needs. John’s innovation leadership has been recognized by the Association of Corporate Counsel and World Commerce & Contracting, among others. John graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Law Journal, clerked for the Honorable Thomas A. Flannery of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and was a litigator at Shea & Garner (now Goodwin) before becoming a contracts and technology lawyer (Amtrak, MCI).

After Boeing she started her own contracts consulting company, Karhu LLC, who helps companies with Contract Lifecycle Management system selection and implementation, contract management process improvements, and training. Alex Hamilton is the CEO and founder of Radiant Law, an award-winning NewLaw firm based in the UK. Alex spends much of his time working closely with clients and spearheading product and tech development at Radiant to make clients' contracting processes fly.

Dr. Megan Ma is a Fellow and the Assistant Director of the Stanford Program in Law, Science, and Technology and the Stanford Center for Legal Informatics (CodeX). She also teaches courses in computational law and insurance tech at the Law School.

Jakob is an attorney at Gorrissen Federspiel, one of Denmark's largest law firms, where he heads their Media and Entertainment law department. He specializes in IP law and has a deep interest in technological advancements, particularly the Metaverse and Extended Reality (XR), and their implications on IP rights. Jakob has an active focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), exploring the legal challenges and opportunities that come with this rapidly advancing technology.

In 2021, he founded the podcast Entertainment Law ("Entertainmentretten"), a platform where he, alongside co-host professor Morten Rosenmeier, discusses new case law and other legal developments within the entertainment sector. He serves as the secretary for the Danish Copyright Association, organizing and overseeing various copyright-focused conferences each year.

Jakob established the course Entertainment Law at the University of Copenhagen and is an editor and co-author of the textbook Entertainment Law. His contribution to IP law and Entertainment law extends to a number of books and articles he has authored.

Sarah has negotiated strategic contracts globally for construction, transport, health, media, ICT, facilities, travel, consulting services, energy, and defence. She has led procurement teams at Barclays, GE Insurance Holdings, Reuters, Salomon Smith Barney, and Williams Lea and has been a facilitator for procurement commodity round table events in Europe, Asia and Oceania. From 2012-2018, Sarah was Chief Commercial Officer at the NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, negotiating agreements for the New Zealand Aid Programme.

Dean currently serves as a Regulatory and Compliance Leader in the Office of the CISO, focusing on consulting with regulated customers in APAC.

Dean’s primary role here at Google as a Portfolio Manager involves managing complex go to market programs to enable our Google Cloud customers.

As an experienced CISO with over 25 years of technical experience in government, commercial program management, Dean has managed and led security, data privacy and compliance across a range of global business' and government organizations.

Prior to joining Google in 2020, Dean was a Program Manager working in both public and private sectors and directly consulted for a number of large global financial organisations including JP Morgan - CitiBank - Deutsche Bank - ABN AMRO - RBS.

David Auld is the Head of Engineering for Microsoft’s AI Acceleration Studio where he helps Microsoft’s enterprise customers adopt the latest AI technologies like Open AI’s GPT-4 language model. Prior to this role, he worked in Microsoft’s Office of the CTO on machine learning frameworks. He was on the founding incubation team for the suite of AI offerings that would eventually become Azure Cognitive Services and subsequently ran the engineering teams building Microsoft’s Computer Vision API and Custom Vision services. Over 10 years at the company, he has held numerous roles in strategy, data science, and product development. Beyond Microsoft, David has also worked at Amazon and multiple startups in the areas of big data, mobile payments, and financial services. He lives in the Seattle area with his wife and two children.

Richard is a corporate lawyer turned entrepreneur. He is the CEO and Founder of Robin AI, a leader in legal AI with a vision of making contracts simple for everyone. He worked for a number of years at leading law firms including Clifford Chance and Boies, Schiller & Flexner before founding Robin AI in 2019.

As CEO, Richard oversees all areas of strategy and operations, whilst working closely with customers to ensure Robin AI delivers value through its cutting-edge, user-focussed products. He has led Robin AI through two rounds of venture capital funding, totalling $14.5M with investors including Google, Softbank, Plural, Episode 1 and Forward Partners. Through his vision and leadership, Robin AI has grown to over 100 employees, with a global client base that includes Clifford Chance, Yum! Brands, CNA Hardy and Repligen.
